The topic I chose for the simulation is how much stressors
in a child’s life can affect his or her academic achievement. I want to
research this topic more because I know that many children in my classroom experience
stressors every day. Some stressors are more severe than others. I haven’t researched
this topic to my full extent yet, however I plan on doing so. I feel that if I
can’t find enough information, that it would be a sign to change my topic of
interest. Unfortunately, I have no experience in this simulation process, so I
am worried that my topic is either too vague or not very specific. For those of
you who have experience in this area, do you think the topic I have chosen will
be sufficient enough? Please explain why or why not. Any feedback and insights
will be extremely helpful!
You have a great topic. That is a great broad topic so write down your questions and zero in on one for your main topic. What is your stand on the problem? Do you want to look at the effects of physical abuse, poverty, lack of parental supervision, etc. on their learning? Once you know that,(research the types of stressors)choose one, and away you go.
ReplyDeleteWish I had chosen this topic.
Hi Arica;
ReplyDeleteSorry for the late reply. You chose a great topic in my eyes but I have the same concerns you have about my own topic. All you can do is try and see where it goes. But I believe that we all need to be aware of the stressors that children face. So I wish you the best on your journey and please make sure to share any information you find. I am interested in learning more about this as well.
